The Ontario Works Program is the way we deliver Social Assistance in Ontario. The goal of the program is to get people back on the road to financial independence. Ontario Works combines financial assistance and employment assistance into one program.
We will provide financial assistance to help individuals meet some of their basic needs while also working together with individuals to establish achievable goals to ensure forward movement and success when re-entering the workforce.
When a person participates in our Employment Support Program an initial assessment is completed to gain a better understanding of their goals and to assist in identifying and overcoming barriers that may be keeping them from working or attending school. We provide encouragement, partner with each person in problem solving and will refer to our community partners to ensure individuals access all services available to them and receive the targeted guidance that is needed.
>The coast guard is tasked with marine search and rescue, communication, navigation and transportation issues in Canadian waters, such as navigation aids and icebreaking, marine pollution response and providing support for other Canadian government initiatives. The coast guard operates 119 vessels of varying sizes and 22 helicopters, along with a variety of smaller craft.

Employment Connectors of SD&G–new initiative available to people with an intellectual disability who are 18 years of age, reside in the 3 United Counties and are looking to be gainfully employed. The service will work closely with local Employers and Businesses to promote the benefits of hiring a person with an intellectual disability.
Maison Interlude House is a Francophone organization offering a range of services, in French and in English, in the counties of Prescott, Russell, Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry to help support women, their children and youth, in building a future without violence.
