The community of Stormont, Dundas, Glengarry, Akwesasne and Cornwall has always been a generous one. That is no different in this time of need. Many programs have been initiated to support our community during the Covid-19 pandemic. The United Way/Centraide of SDG and The Social Development Council have come together to form the Regional Emergency Response Council. One purpose of this council is to ensure that Information regarding regionally specific assets and programs are being communicated to the best of their ability to the community as a whole. Support for seniors and persons with disabilities during this this difficult time. Services include grocery and pharmacy delivery, meals on wheels, telephone safety checks, transportation and dementia support.

-Children Developmental Services-Case Managers, Behavioural Consultants and Family Home Coordinator continue to work with their clients by phone, email or text. We continue to deal with urgent situations and work with planning tables.
-Our Respite home is currently closed and will be considered for emergencies situations only. Urgent situations will be assessed individually based on the ability to put together a safe action plan to protect workers and the client.
