Guest speakers:

Rob Rainer:  Rob will speak to the meaning of basic income, to key principles for a truly progressive basic income in Canada, to options for funding a decent basic income, and to responding to key objections to basic income.

John Stapleton:  John will review the current income system and some of the problems it faces along with a profile of who is poor in Canada.

Richard Shillington:  Richard will highlight the arguments for a Basic Income as well as highlight the problems/hurdles one faces in implementing such a system.

Looking For A Job?

The Cornwall and Area Job Fair returns this fall to help employers and job seekers connect before the busy holiday season. Last year’s event hosted 26 major employers from across the region and over 200 available jobs. Make sure to have your resume ready because this year’s event is gearing up to offer even more.

Looking to Volunteer?

Frontline FYI is an information exchange fair featuring local community agencies.  We intend for participating agencies to use this event to recruit clients or new volunteers, while also networking with businesses and other frontline service providers.

This is a *FREE Event! Just bring your resume.

When:  Wednesday, September 13th, 2017
Session 1: 11am-2pm
Session 2: 4pm-7pm
